Urban Company Co-founder and CEO Abhiraj Singh Bhal in a letter to the Home Secretary urged the government to allow beauticians and barbers to deliver home services in all areas, except containment zones. In the letter, Bhal stated that delivering services at home will minimize crowding and will be brought into action by following a set of protocols for beauticians and barbers. “This will allow both salon chains and individual service professionals to cater to consumers while also earning livelihood.” Among protocols followed include usage of (PPE) such as masks and gloves; mandatory use of AarogyaSetu app; digital payments, etc. No services will be delivered in containment zones.
