Dior has launched an augmented reality Instagram filter to showcase its 2020 Holiday Make-Up collection, according to Mobile Marketer. Created by Peter Phillips, Dior’s Creative and Image director, and Digital Artist Inès Alpha, the 3Dior Instagram filter is said to be the first 3D offering. Having worked with design agency MNST, Dior created the filter using the Party In Colors palette. It opts for a more whimsical approach to traditional cosmetic AR campaigns for cosmetics, offering effects such as moving sequins. Dior created an accompanying micro-influencer campaign, with the filter hoped to develop past the physical world and create a new form of ‘homoinstagramus’ beauty.
