L’Oréal has promised that by 2030, 100% of the plastics utilised in its product packaging will be from either recycled or bio-based sources. The company’s latest environmental sustainability program ‘L’Oréal for the future’ sets goals for 2030. The French cosmetic giant, as part of the sustainability program allocates €150 million (US$168 million) to address critical social and environmental issues. The company’s sites aim to be carbon neutral by using 100% renewable energy and improving energy efficiency by 2025. Further, the company intends to reduce its complete greenhouse gas emissions by 50 % per finished product, compared to 2016, by 2030.
