Private investor group rescues Sassoon’s UK business

Contrary to news reports and social media coverage, Vidal Sassoon London Academy’s UK operations have been rescued by private investor group. All its 7 UK based salons will remain open for business. This investment has saved jobs for 176 employees in the U.K.. Debbie Webster, CEO of the global Sassoon education and salon businesses said, “Sassoon suffered enormously as a result of the multiple government mandated Covid-19 lockdowns in the U.K.. Since the beginning of the lockdowns, Sassoon’s sole focus was to find a way to retain our team, and to reopen each of our locations. The recent transaction has enabled us to achieve that goal.”
