Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas unveiled its first luxury resort in India at the 700 year old heritage Fort Barwara in Sawai Modhpur in Rajasthan in October this year. While Six Senses spas have been in India from some time, this marks their first property acquisition.

Speaking about their plans, Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses Hotels, Resorts and Spas emphasised India’s importance as a market for them especially with the opening up of international travel. While domestic travellers were currently their mainstay, the aim was to have a combination of domestic and foreign travellers once the borders open as it creates the right energy in the property. Jacob highlighted that with India’s diversity, they can do numerous executions of Six Senses in different parts of the country.
